The leaves have turned, signs of fall are all around us and we’re in the final days of this campaign. I’ve received so many emails and phone calls from citizen’s wanting to know where are we going from here.

My answer is that together we’re going to keep Vancouver moving forward.

We’re going to build a new bridge so that we can create more jobs here in Vancouver and Clark County.

We’re going to build access to the waterfront that will create jobs, more opportunity and open the waterfront to everyone.

We’re going to build a destination so people know who we are and come to visit and enjoy our great city.

We’re going to build even stronger relationships with our partners at the county and all the cities in our region because working together will makes us globally competitive.

We’re going to build a transportation system that makes it easier for us to get around and attracts new business and supports existing business.

We’re going to build a network of resources utilizing volunteers to support public safety and keep our community protected as well as provide safe alternatives for our kids.

We’re going to build using smart growth principles so we can control taxes because it’s less expensive to provide city services, gives you choices to walk or bike and provides healthy alternatives.

We’re going to build a transit system that gives you choices and saves you money.

We’re going to build a sustainable Vancouver that honors our environment where we reduce, reuse and recycle in partnership with good paying green jobs.

We’re going to build community in the arts and establish who we truly are and respect our cultural heritage…a place where diversity has always been an important part of Vancouver.

We’re going to build a bright future for our city…for our kids and for their kids.
