New website designed to further connect the councilwoman with city residents.
The newly designed website for the Jeanne Harris reelection campaign goes live today. The site www.jeanneharris.com aims to expand her connection with the community and find out what’s on the hearts and minds of the community she serves. The new site features a weekly poll on topics important to Vancouver residents. This poll will help put the community’s views in the forefront as Jeanne begins a listening campaign to highlight the issues that are most significant to Vancouver residents.
“Our online visitors will have a poll question each week that is relative to Vancouver,” said Harris, “This is an opportunity for me to hear directly from the people and bring their voice to City Hall.”
In addition to door belling, which covers a small portion of the city, Jeanne will take time to answer emails from her site each week. “I am excited that improving technology has given me the opportunity to have this personal touch. It is a must in this day and age; working on so many campaigns I’ve found that doorbelling only captures a small percentage of the constituents.” Harris explains, “The website opens the door for me to visit everyone in our community.”
The first poll takes on a critical issue the City of Vancouver faces with the redevelopment of the former Boise Cascade site on Vancouver’s Waterfront. Jeanne would like to hear how residents believe the Vancouver Waterfront should be developed or what should happen to the land.
Voice your opinion and share your feeling with Jeanne Harris your Councilwoman, and help her to continue to move Vancouver forward at www.jeanneharris.com.
